Terms & Conditions
Terms governing your use of our website and services
1. Who we are
ADHD Assessment UK is the trading name of Avon Medical Ltd, a CQC-registered independent healthcare provider offering private adult ADHD assessment and treatment services in England.
In these Terms & Conditions, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Avon Medical Ltd trading as ADHD Assessment UK.
2. Agreement
By using our website, booking an appointment, completing forms, or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
3. Our services
We provide private adult ADHD assessments and, where clinically appropriate, ADHD treatment and medication titration.
Our services are delivered remotely by video consultation, supported by pre-assessment forms, clinical questionnaires, identity checks and clinical review.
We are not an emergency or crisis service. If you are at immediate risk, feel unsafe, or need urgent help, call 999, attend A&E, contact NHS 111, your GP, or your local mental health crisis team.
4. Eligibility
Our service is for adults aged 18–65 who are resident in England.
You must provide accurate personal, medical and GP information. You must have a registered NHS GP so that we can communicate relevant clinical information where appropriate.
We may decline to assess or treat you if our remote service is not clinically suitable for your needs.
5. Booking and payment
Assessment and treatment fees are shown on our website at the time of booking.
Payment must be made in accordance with the payment terms stated during the booking process.
We may change our prices at any time, but price changes will not affect bookings that have already been confirmed.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations, missed appointments, rescheduling and refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Please read that policy before booking.
7. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- provide accurate and complete information
- complete all required pre-assessment forms
- provide proof of identity and address where requested
- provide your GP details
- provide physical health observations where required, including blood pressure, pulse and weight
- attend appointments on time
- tell us about relevant medical, mental health, substance use, medication or risk issues
- use our service respectfully and lawfully
If required information is missing, inaccurate or incomplete, we may delay, pause or cancel your assessment or treatment.
8. Clinical outcomes
A diagnosis of ADHD is not guaranteed.
The outcome of your assessment will depend on the clinical judgement of the assessing clinician, the information available, diagnostic criteria, clinical history, risk assessment and any relevant supporting evidence.
Medication or treatment is also not guaranteed. Medication will only be offered where clinically appropriate and safe.
9. Prescriptions and medication
Where medication is clinically appropriate, prescriptions may be issued privately.
Medication costs are usually paid separately to the dispensing pharmacy unless stated otherwise.
We may refuse, pause or stop prescribing if required monitoring is not provided, if safety concerns arise, if there is suspected misuse or diversion, or if prescribing is no longer clinically appropriate.
10. Shared care with your GP
Where appropriate, we may write to your GP and request a shared care arrangement once treatment is stable.
We cannot guarantee that your GP will accept shared care. If your GP declines shared care, you may need to continue private follow-up and private prescriptions or discuss alternative options with your GP.
11. Remote consultations
Our appointments are usually delivered by secure video consultation.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have a suitable device, internet connection and private space for your appointment.
At the start of consultations, we may ask you to confirm your identity, current location, privacy, safety and who is present with you.
12. Website information
The information on our website is provided for general information only. It is not a substitute for personalised medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
You should not rely on website information in place of advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
13. Data protection
We process personal data and health information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By using our services, you acknowledge that we will process your information for assessment, treatment, administration, clinical governance, legal, regulatory and safeguarding purposes where appropriate.
14. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please follow our Complaints Policy.
We aim to respond to complaints fairly, promptly and professionally.
15. Limitation of liability
We are responsible for providing our services with reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including technology failures, internet outages, supplier issues, incomplete information, or failure to attend appointments.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be published on our website.
The Terms in place at the time of your confirmed booking will apply to that booking unless a change is required by law, regulation or clinical safety.
