How to Refer

Referring a patient is straightforward

NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS)

Search for 'ADHD Assessment UK' on the NHS e-Referral Service. We accept both routine and urgent referrals via e-RS.

Direct referral letter

Send a referral letter to referrals@adhdassessmentuk.co.uk. Include the patient's demographics, presenting symptoms, relevant history, and any previous assessments.

NHS Right to Choose

If a patient requests a Right to Choose referral, you can refer them to us via e-RS. We are an approved Any Qualified Provider (AQP).

What to include in your referral

-Patient demographics (name, DOB, NHS number, address)
-Presenting symptoms and duration
-Relevant psychiatric and medical history
-Current medications
-Any previous ADHD assessments or diagnoses
-Reason for referral
-GP contact details for report and shared care

What we provide for your patients

Comprehensive Assessment

A 90-minute clinician-led ADHD assessment including clinical interview and standardised rating scales. Detailed report within 5 working days.

Shared Care Support

We actively support shared care arrangements with GPs. We provide full titration support, shared care letters, and ongoing clinical correspondence.

NHS Right to Choose

We are an approved Any Qualified Provider (AQP) and accept NHS Right to Choose referrals via e-RS. No cost to the patient.

Common Questions

GP FAQs

You can refer via the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS) or by sending a referral letter directly to our clinical team. Please include the patient's demographics, presenting symptoms, relevant history, and any previous assessments. Our team will contact the patient within 3 working days of receiving the referral.

Our reports include: a full clinical history, DSM-5 diagnostic criteria assessment, a clear diagnostic conclusion, and recommendations for treatment and/or shared care. Reports are typically returned within 5 working days of the assessment.

Yes. We actively support shared care with GPs. If a patient is diagnosed with ADHD and commences medication, we will provide full titration support and a shared care letter for the patient's GP. We follow NICE guidelines and local shared care protocols.

Yes. All our assessing clinicians are fully registered with the GMC or NMC and have extensive NHS experience in adult ADHD assessment and treatment.

Yes. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our CQC Location ID is 1-28175659875. You can verify our registration on the CQC website.

Under the NHS Right to Choose, patients in England can request a referral to an approved independent provider for their NHS-funded ADHD assessment. We accept NHS Right to Choose referrals. If a patient requests this, you can refer them to us via e-RS.
