Frequently asked questions

Is an online ADHD assessment as valid as an in-person one?

Yes. NICE guideline NG87 does not specify that ADHD assessments must be conducted in person. Online assessments conducted by GMC-registered clinicians using validated diagnostic tools are clinically valid. The diagnostic report produced is recognised by GPs, employers, and educational institutions.

What technology do I need for an online ADHD assessment?

You need a device with a camera and microphone (laptop, tablet, or smartphone), a stable internet connection, and a private, quiet space for the duration of the assessment (60–90 minutes). We will send you a secure video link before your appointment.

Can I get ADHD medication after an online assessment?

Yes. If your assessment results in a diagnosis and medication is clinically appropriate, our prescribing clinicians can issue a prescription. This can be dispensed at any UK pharmacy. A shared care agreement with your GP may be recommended for ongoing prescribing.

Are online ADHD assessments covered by insurance?

Many private health insurance policies cover online ADHD assessments from CQC-registered providers. Check your policy or contact your insurer. You will typically need to confirm that the clinician is GMC-registered.

What areas of England do you cover?

Because our assessments are conducted online, we can see adults across all of England. We currently serve patients in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Bristol, Nottingham, Newcastle, Leicester, Coventry, Bradford, Cardiff, Southampton, Reading, Hull, Stoke-on-Trent, Wolverhampton, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.
